Well i did't make any research on this thing why should i have this thing? BUT.. on my last dyno i was using standard TR unit aka ignition module,base of ignition chart my engine cannot sustain proper ignition during high boost.it may be coz of current setup with turbo and cams.There was also possibility of incorrect spark plug number . so i decided to take x4 IGBT, by having this also i can run through ignition wire to be sequential firing. it is quit simple wiring coz each coil has 2 connector. one +ve (power supply)and -ve. The -ve wire is connected to x4.
as shown here each coil has one power supply and one terminal grounded on X4. by running this way it can benefits u two things. one u reduce tendency of misfire as running waste spark. second reduce the working cycle of the coils by 50% compare to waste spark.
